Mayor Fahey Proclaims Feb. 3 'NP Dodge Day' February 03rd, 2005 by NP Dodge Marketing Team Mayor Mike Fahey proclaimed Feb. 3 "NP Dodge Day" at a press conference today, in recognition of NP Dodge Company's 150-year history of doing business in the community.

Sandy Dodge, president/chairman of the board, said the company is honored to be one of the city's eldest companies. "NP Dodge made its first sale in this area in 1855, and the NP Dodge Company is proud to be doing business in Omaha and Council Bluffs 150 years later," he said. "We sincerely thank Mayor Fahey for recognizing the NP Dodge legacy in such a meaningful way."

NP Dodge Presents 4 Nonprofits with Defibrillators February 03rd, 2005 by NP Dodge Marketing Team NP Dodge Company presented four local nonprofit organizations with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) today in celebration of the company's 150th anniversary. Experts say the devices can save lives during cardiac emergencies.

"The on-site presence of an AED reduces critical wait time for treatment, and as a result improves a person's chance of surviving a cardiac crisis," said Amy Arouni, M.D., Creighton Cardiac Center cardiologist and American Heart Association board member. Between 300,000 and 400,000 people die from cardiac arrest each year in the United States, Arouni said, and most of these deaths occur outside of the hospital.
